Afra Khakzad
Visual Artist, Multidisciplinary Designer & PhD in Philosophy of Art
I am an artist and designer working at the intersection of aesthetic philosophy, digital product design, and industrial logic. Holding a PhD in Philosophy of Art, a Master's in Art Research, and a Bachelor's in Graphic Design, my career is built on a deep academic foundation combined with practical visual expertise.
My work spans multiple creative and technical domains:
• UI/UX & HMI Design: I design intuitive, user-centered digital interfaces, specializing in transforming complex industrial systems (HMI) and data-heavy environments into clean, highly functional interactive experiences.
• Fine Art & Painting: As a painter, my works explore themes of identity, time, and transformation, drawing inspiration from memory and symbolism. I have showcased my art in solo and group exhibitions across Canada, Iran, Turkey, Italy, and the United States.
• Graphic Design & Technical Drafting: With a strong graphic design background, I deliver precise visual communications, extending into technical drafting and structural layouts.
I believe that whether on a physical canvas or a digital screen, great design is about creating clarity, structure, and a deep human connection.
